Register yourself with a space, and about patriotism

When you register yourself with a space, you care about that space and people living in it. It adds totally another dimension to your life, and it fills meaning into everything and automatically offsets negative things in your life.

Everyone loves his/her hometown. Such love is usually genuine. The love for one’s country, however, can be a mixture of true love and pretentious/artificial love. To love one’s country, different from loving one’s hometown, can be much harder. If you are not big enough, it is hard to love one’s country genuinely. It is especially hard since the government (a small group of people) always try to take advantage of this love, and manipulate it under the hidden false assumption which equates the government with this space which we just happen to call it a country. The love for one’s country, however, inevitably and naturally grows as one gets in touch with various kinds of people, the history and stories happening in that space integrated with the nature in that space.

It is on this basis that people deeply in love with a space can also care about people living in another space. People trapped in Patriotism is misguided by the pretentious/artificial love. Patriotism is love of a label. It is not love of a space.
